New 100% Online Master of Science in Accounting

The accounting graduate degree's inaugural session begins January 21, 2019.

Merrimack College is launching its new online master of science in accounting (MSA online) program, with classes starting Jan. 21, 2019.

As a 100-percent online program, Merrimack’s MSA online is flexible and prepares students for advanced careers in accounting by focusing on high-level professional competencies that employers are actively seeking.

“A successful accountant today is not only adept at interpreting accounting data using cutting-edge technology but also communicates effectively to different constituencies and exhibits strong leadership skills,” said Annarita Meeker, director of accounting programs. “Our online MSA program graduates will impress hiring managers with a breadth of competencies that go well beyond core accounting skills.”

While the MSA is new to Merrimack’s portfolio, the school has long offered other advanced degrees online including data science, business analytics and education. The MSA online offers the same competitive tuition, return on investment and scholarship opportunities Merrimack has offered in other programs.

The online graduate accounting program’s 16-month completion time, multiple start dates and high-touch advising make it easy for early career or seasoned professionals to return to school and earn an advanced degree.

Merrimack’s MSA meets educational requirements for acquiring and maintaining CPA licensure. CPAs are considered trusted business advisors with significant responsibility; the designation can open doors to advanced opportunities and increased earning potential.
