Alternative Break/International Service Immersion Advising
Faculty, Staff, and Graduate Students are invited to take part in the Alternative Break and International Service Immersion programs through “advising.”
Advising for Alternative Break or International Service Immersion programs is a unique way to connect with students. Advisers spend the week working with the student leaders and participants in every aspect of the program. This work can include joining the group for home repair, meal preparation at soup kitchens, painting murals in the communities where you serve, and reflecting every night with your small group. It is an opportunity to mentor and build deep relationships with students.
This position is open to all faculty, staff, and graduate students, with preference given to faculty and staff members. Applications for advising positions can be found in The Grace J. Palmisano Center for Campus Ministry, 3rd floor of Sakowich Campus Center, office suite 350. Additionally, you can now apply for advising online by clicking the links to the right of this box.
Before you apply:
- Please receive permission for advising an Alternative Break/International Service Immersion program from your supervisor.
