Getting Married at the Church
On behalf of the Merrimack College community, we in campus ministry congratulate you on your engagement, and wish you happiness in your life together.
The Collegiate Church of Christ the Teacher has been the setting for many campus weddings over the years. If you would like to celebrate your wedding at the church, please review the requirements below.
To be married at the Collegiate Church of Christ the Teacher, a privilege granted by the Archdiocese of Boston, either the bride or groom must be a current student or graduate of Merrimack College. In addition, either the bride or groom must be a practicing Catholic.
The wedding couple is responsible for securing a presider for the wedding liturgy. You are encouraged to invite a favorite priest or deacon to officiate at the service. Availability of Augustinian friars from the college is limited.
A fee is assessed for use of the church, a sacristan, paperwork / recording and a music workshop. The fee can be discussed with campus ministry at the time you book your wedding.
You may reserve the church by calling the Grace J. Palmisano Center for Campus Ministry at 978-837-5450 at least six months prior to the wedding date. At that time, you may pencil in a date with the office, and the wedding coordinator will contact you to set up an appointment. We are currently accepting reservations through December 2019.
