Adjunct Instructor(s), Mechanical Engineering

Position Overview:  The Mechanical Engineering Department invites applications for adjunct position(s) for classes held both day and evening during spring, summer, and fall terms.   A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and prior college-level teaching is desired; however candidates with an MS in Mechanical Engineering with relevant industry experience will also be considered.

Classes may include:

  • Life Cycle Analysis
  • Numerical Methods
  • Finite Element Analysis
  • Mechanical Behavior of Polymers
  • Energy Systems
  • Windpower Systems
  • Instrumentation and Robotics
  • Other Advanced Electives/Special Topics

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate or first year graduate-level courses within their area of expertise. They will also teach a diverse population of students including traditional day students, continuing education students, international students, and adult learners.
