Adjunct Instructors, Pre-Masters Program

Position Overview:  The Department of Communication Arts and Sciences seeks instructors for courses in English for Academic Purposes (EAP). These instructors deliver quality educational programming to international students studying in the Merrimack College Pre-Master’s Program (PMP). These are part-time, non-benefited teaching positions, and instructors will teach up to two sections of EAP courses each term. The Merrimack College PMP prepares international students to fully matriculate into graduate degree programs by providing English language courses in support of the students’ educational goals. Coursework includes traditional EAP courses as well as courses targeted at study skills, critical thinking, research skills and other areas designed to prepare students to succeed in college courses. Instructors report to the PMP Study Group Center Director and are also housed within the Merrimack College Department of Communication Arts & Sciences. Instructor positions are non-tenure track.

Qualifications:  Instructors must have a master’s degree and a minimum of two years experience teaching second language students
