Adjunct Instructor, Director of Merrimack College Pep Band (Visual & Performing Arts)

Adjunct Instructor: The Department of Visual and Performing Arts invites applications for the position of Director of the Merrimack College Pep Band for the 2014-2015 academic year. This position carries the rank of adjunct instructor within the Department of Visual and Performing Arts.

The Merrimack Pep Band performs at all men’s home hockey games, at other athletic events such as Homecoming, and at other events both on and off campus to increase school spirit. The Pep Band is an ensemble available for credit within the Department of Visual and Performing Arts. The Director is responsible for all aspects of the musical growth, development, and recruitment of the ensemble, while working with a student leadership Executive Board.

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education or Performance or equivalent professional experience is required; a Master’s in Music is preferred. The director is expected to have a demonstrated record of achievement in the musical field and a regional reputation.
