Assistant Professor, Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program

Position Overview:  We are searching for a full-time faculty member to join our new graduate program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC), Department of Psychology. The MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program is a strength-based, relational model that is trauma-informed, with a focus on social justice and diversity. This is a 10 month tenure track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. The faculty member will work with the Director of the program to pursue Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) accreditation. A doctorate in Counselor Education is preferred, with a proven record of graduate teaching, experience with blended and online instruction, licensed or license eligible as a clinical practitioner, and actively engage in professional organization. The applicant must demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity and social justice.  The faculty responsibilities include teaching 6 (4 credit each) courses per academic year across the core curriculum, student mentoring and advising, and engaging in research, publications and other scholarship. It is expected that the faculty member will be a contributing member of the department and the institution as a whole.
