Professor in Social Work

Position Overview:  Merrimack College invites applications for a tenured Professor in Social Work in the School of Education and Social Policy. Primary responsibilities will include leading the efforts to implement an undergraduate and potentially master’s program in Social Work and teach in the program. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in social work and have a distinguished background of applied scholarly work and demonstrated excellence in teaching. This position is contingent on final budgetary approval.

As faculty, the candidate will have a commitment to interdisciplinary education and research, show evidence of outstanding teaching, have experience with teaching and advising, and show evidence of applied research competence and publications. Job requirements include responsibility for developing and teaching courses for the social work majors, serving as a student advisor, and ensuring implementation, accreditation, and quality of the program.
