Christopher Stuetzle, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor in the Computer Science department received his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY in 2012. His areas of study were Computer Graphics and Geographic Information Science. He is conducting research exploring the mathematics of terrain data through new terrain representations and statistical analysis, and he has authored several publications in both computer science and civil engineering. He has also helped design a group collaborative problem solving system involving identification of inexpensive, off-the-shelf laser pointers using their unique IR signatures. In his spare time, Dr. Stuetzle enjoys hiking, writing, and playing board games.
