Home to over 300 students, Deegan Hall is named after Reverend John E. Deegan, O.S.A., who was president of Merrimack College from 1981-1994. Deegan, which first opened in 1998, is broken up into two separate buildings, West and East.
Deegan Hall consists double, triple and 4-person rooms. Each room comes equipped with Internet, phone, and cable outlets. The average double/triple room size is 17’ x 10’10” and a window size of 6’ x 2’8”.
Each floor also has its own common area, study lounge, and community bathrooms. In addition, there are seminar rooms on the first floor of Deegan West where some classes are held. The Good Counsel lounge is attached to Deegan West and has a fireplace, lounge area stove, refrigerator, and large screen TV. Deegan also has a foosball table available for use.
Ash Centre is home to over 300 students and the Austin Scholars Community.
Ash consists of both double rooms, average size of 12’x 14’ with two windows that are 5’7” x 3’7”, and suites of four, average size of 11’x 9’ and 14’ x 9’.
Suites feature two bedrooms, a small common area and a bathroom. Each double room is equipped with cable TV and internet capability.
Full laundry facilities are located in the basement. Study lounges are on the second floor and there is ping pong in the foyer for all to enjoy!
Monican Centre is a three-story, traditional residence hall that houses approximately 300 students. One wing is comprised of double and triple rooms while the other two wings are suites.
Monican double/triple rooms are an average size of 12’x14’ with two windows that are 5’7”x3’7”. Suite bedrooms have an average size of 11’x9’ and 14’x9’. There is ping pong, foosball, and a pool table in the lobby for students to enjoy.
This building features several different size suites housing four, six or eight residents. All of the suites contain a common room with upholstered seating and a coffee table. Suites are divided into bedrooms with each bedroom measuring approximately 11’ x 15’. There is a ping pong table and pool available in the lobby for students to enjoy.
Housing approximately 150 residents, there are fourteen townhouses on campus. Each townhouse is equipped with six bedrooms (two or three people per bedroom), two full baths and one half-bath. The bedrooms measure approximately 12’ x 16’. Laundry facilities are available to townhouse residents and are located in every-other unit.
The St. Thomas and St. Ann Apartments are equipped with two bedrooms, one and one-half baths, a kitchen and a living room. A bedroom measures approximately 13’11” x 10’7” in St. Thomas and St. Anne bedrooms are approximately 13’9” x 11’3”. In addition to traditional bedroom furniture, the apartments are furnished with a couch, kitchen table, and kitchen chairs.
The St. Thomas Community room is located adjacent to C tower and has a large space for students to gather to study or socialize.
