The Academic Counselor for International and Intercultural Students

The Academic Counselor for International and Intercultural Students serves as an advisor to international and intercultural students providing them with guidance in the culture, the policies and procedures, and in general the ways of Merrimack College as an American institution of higher education. The counselor also provides information and instruction in study skills strategies.

The Academic Counselor for International and Intercultural Students works in close concert with and, as called for, refers students to:

  • Their faculty instructors and advisors;
  • The ESL writing specialist in the College’s Writing Center to work on enhancing their writing in English; and,
  • The Office of International Programs and the Office of the Registrar to deal with issues involving students’ status as international students.
