Corporate/Community Partners

The Finance Department in the Girard School of Business and International Commerce has been approached by a number of firms to develop programs of study addressing their needs - conversations are currently underway with investment banks and corporations.

New corporate-partner pedagogy and research with the business community offers a variety of careers and internships.

In order to align our Finance Department with industry needs, we emphasize our finance curriculum, developing both quantitative and qualitative analytical skills through practical case studies with spreadsheet computing. All finance courses use rigorous Microsoft Excel applications which are applied to solve complex problems.  Oral and written communication is another strong career skill developed through active class presentations and discussion of current topics in finance at Merrimack College
