Class of 2009
Jonathan Nolet, a business administration major and finance concentrate, enrolled in the cooperative education program at Merrimack for a simple, yet practical reason: work experience.
Now a fifth year student in Merrimack’s five-year coop program, Jonathan has already acquired on the job experience through a position at Putnam Investments (Andover, MA) during his third year of coop. This summer, Jonathan hopes to land his next position in Boston.
Jonathan, who is also a member of the Merrimack’s investment society, views his cooperative education experience as having an advantage on his side. “You can figure out where you want to work, what type of environment you enjoy working on, and you cane experiment with what you want to do.”
In addition to the student to faculty ratio, and the perspective he knew he would gain through a liberal arts base, Jonathan was attracted to Merrimack specifically for the cooperative education program. With an ultimate goal of becoming a portfolio manager in the world on finance, Jonathan is well on his way to building the resume to get him there.
