The Lucey Center for Business Advising

Advising is offered to students at all points in their undergraduate student journey, whether they know exactly what they want to do or they are still undecided.

All Freshmen students with a business major are assigned to one of our dedicated Freshmen Advisors. The Freshmen Advisors meet with all Freshmen business majors, supporting their academic needs while outlining for them the requirements of their liberal studies core, business, and selected concentration. These Freshmen Advisors are dedicated to their students and their transition to college, in and out of the classroom.

Sophomores with an Undeclared Business concentration

Students who are still uncertain about their area of study after their Freshmen year are assigned to an Undeclared Academic Advisor. The Undeclared Student Advisor works with students to explore the different concentration and academic requirements, all while cultivating personal interests and skills.

Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors with a Declared Business concentration

Once students have selected a concentration they are assigned to a Faculty Advisor in their area of interest or a related area. The Faculty Advisor reviews academic requirements and enriches students’ understanding of their specialty throughout their undergraduate studies.

Students with a Business Minor

While students who minor in business are not required to meet with a Business Advisor each semester for course registration purposes, they are assigned an Academic Advisor. The Business Minor Academic Advisor is available to meet with students minoring in one of our nine business minors to ensure their academic needs are met and that they’re on track to graduate.

Academic and Faculty Advisors meet with students each semester to discuss their academic and career goals and make sure they are on track to graduate
