Associated Organizations & Clubs

American Marketing Association – Merrimack College Chapter

Merrimack College is proud to participate in the professional marketing field with a Collegiate Chapter of the American Marketing Association.  The Merrimack College Marketing Association (MCAMA) has maintained this student chapter of the AMA national association for over thirty years. 

The American Marketing Association (AMA), one of the largest professional associations for marketers, is a professional association for individuals and organizations involved in the practice, teaching, and study of marketing, with over 38,000 members worldwide.  Its first collegiate chapter began in 1948 and currently has over 10,000 collegiate members.  The principal roles of AMA are:

  • Improving - Advancing marketing competencies, practice and thought leadership;
  • Promoting - Being an advocate for marketing and promoting its importance, efficacy and ethics;
  • Supporting - Being an essential resource for marketing information, education/training and relationships (www.MarketingPower.com);

The Merrimack College Collegiate Chapter is a very active student chapter.  Student members plan numerous networking, marketing, educational, fundraising, and community service events throughout each semester.  They participate in the national AMA Collegiate Awards Programs and have won numerous national awards throughout its thirty year association.  Student members attend the Leadership, Career and Networking conference annually in New Orleans with other marketing and business students worldwide.
