Marketing
My name is Ashley Varano. While I attended Merrimack, I was a very active student. I am definitely an outgoing person and I get my energy from interacting with people and being a team leader.
On campus, I was president of the American Marketing Association, class secretary for the class of 2008, and I ran the Ultimate Warrior group that helps promote athletics on campus and increases student attendance. In addition to on-campus activities, I also worked at a small marketing company in the area, Sentrepity Marketing and Public Relations. I worked as a marketing specialist and focused on B2B marketing with high-tech companies from all over the world. I conducted marketing research to create press lists and find brand opportunity to promote the customer company.
I transferred to Merrimack in the beginning of my sophomore year from Emmanuel College in Boston, MA. Even though I live five minutes from Merrimack, I still lived on campus and found it to be an amazing experience. I came to Merrimack for its unique community and cohesiveness. Merrimack is the type of school where you will get to know your professors on a first name basis, and you'll make many friends with people from different graduating classes, backgrounds, and majors.
