National Criminal Justice Honor Society
The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Merrimack College has established the Pi Beta Chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma: The National Criminal Justice Honor Society at Merrimack College.
Criminology majors and minors who are at least a second semester sophomore, have taken at least four Criminology courses, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or above are eligible to become a member.
Alpha Phi Sigma was established in 1942 to promote academic excellence, assist in the development of professional and personal leadership among students, provide opportunities for service to the community, and encourage greater communication among members and the entire criminal justice profession.Benefits of becoming a member include:

Members of Pi Beta Chapter are expected to participate in fundraising and community service projects through the academic year.
