Service Learning
Volunteerism and concern for the community have always been strong foundations of a Merrimack College education. Our service learning program enables students to forge direct connections between their coursework, their interest in community service, and their growth as responsible citizens.
Through service learning, you will enhance your academic work—and you will learn more about yourself and the role you will play in the communities where you live, now and in the future.

Example of Service Learning:
A student in an operations management course and a student in a social justice course might both opt to tutor kids at the same boys and girls club. The management student might return to class and discuss the efficiency of the boys and girls program, while the social justice student reflects on public policy issues instead.
