Prepare to take the National SPHR® or PHR® examinations

Merrimack College, in cooperation with the Society of Human Resources Society (SHRM®), offers a 33-hour program, which includes the SHRM® Learning System, to help human resources professionals prepare for the Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) certification examinations administered by Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI®). 

    The Merrimack College - Professional Education SPHR program earned the 
          2008 Certificate of Recognition award for achieving 100% pass rate 
                   on the SPHR  Dec 2007 - Jan 2008 exam window.

  Also the Professional Education PHR/SPHR program is consistently recognized 
         by the SHRM for exceeding the national pass rates on both the 
                           PHR and SPHR certification exams.

Certification Information:

To apply for the PHR designations, candidates must have at least two years of exempt-level experience in the HR field.

While no single course of study guarantees success on the HRCI exams, thousands of professionals have used the SHRM® Learning System to prepare for the exams.

Instructor:

Michael Brink, SPHR, most recently was director, Human Resources for Charles River Laboratories, where he was responsible for providing HR management resources and oversight to facilities throughout North America which included: strategic support in designing and implementing programs, organizational development, performance management, recruiting and retention and compensation management. He has more than 25 years of senior level experience in a wide variety of industries and all aspects of the human resource function including recruiting, compensation, employee relations, strategic planning and employee development. He holds a M.Ed. in Adult and Career Counseling from Northeastern University and a B.A. in Sociology from St. Lawrence University. 

Refund Policy:

Students are entitled to a refund of tuition according to the following schedule:
Prior to the first class meeting 100%
Prior to the second class meeting 75%
After the second class meeting 0%
Notice of withdrawal must be in writing. Refunds will be granted according to the date of receipt of the notice by the Professional Education office.
