Nicole graduated from Merrimack in 2019 and has matriculated at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in Knoxville. She was involved in a number of extracurricular and scholastic pursuits, including co-captain of the Women’s Varsity Softball team, co-chair of the Honors Student Council, a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and Omicron Delta Kappa. Nicole did research on animal behavior in the lab of Dr. David MacLaren. After she finishes her veterinary training, Nicole hopes to be an equine veterinarian.

Paola Gutierrez has been accepted to the Physician Assistant Program at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, where she plans to matriculate in January 2020. Paola was actively involved in plant physiology research in the lab of Dr. Azam Noori. During her time as a student, she also worked part-time as a surgical technician at Lawrence General Hospital.
