Lindsey Kelley is from Dedham, MA. She attended Merrimack College where she obtained a degree in both Elementary Education and Sociology. Kelley decided to pursue her M.Ed. in Higher Education because she loved planning and being involved in her undergraduate experience. Kelley was very involved as an undergraduate, she was an orientation leader, served on the student council, studied abroad and much more. Those involvements were the highlights of her weeks in college. These experiences allowed Kelley to see that she has a passion for working in student affairs. Kelley loves working with people, especially students, and she loves that the field has so many interactions with different types of people.

Kelley serves as one of the Graduate Fellows in the Office of External Affairs at Merrimack College. She works with any aspect of communication that goes out to students, faculty, and staff, this includes the daily digest, emails, invitations, and press releases for events on campus. Kelley also publicizes events that are happening on campus — creating invitations, posters, emails, press releases. She helps generate the Merrimack newsletter online — writing stories, updating the newsletter and the homepage. .

Lindsey Kelley’s Testimonial

“This is a great opportunity in experiential learning. I am able to put what I am learning in the classroom into practice. This is also a great time to explore many different options in terms of departments to work in the future. This experience is all about learning and growing as a higher ed professional. I am working in an office that I had not previously worked in, so I am gaining tons of new experiences and skills that will help me in the future. I feel that coming out of this program, I will be more prepared and ready to take on the world of Higher Ed.”
