The Master of Science in Management, named a top 25 program in the nation by The Financial Engineer, is a comprehensive business management program designed to prepare graduates for successful leadership positions.
For working professionals and recent graduates of any discipline, this one-year program offers an accelerated path to obtaining an advanced degree that is valued by leading employers. Graduates of this program are prepared to capably address complex business challenges and compete for key leadership and management roles around the globe.
Our Master of Science in Management program emphasizes creative problem-solving skills, integrity and responsibility, and a global perspective, all of which are essential for personal and professional success in today’s rapidly changing business environment. It is designed to benefit students who hold both business and non-business undergraduate degrees. Students of all disciplines will gain an excellent business education and acquire valuable skills and knowledge that will broaden their range of career options.
Courses are designed to prepare early-career level managers to
- understand the complex business environment
- develop advanced skills at interpreting and using information to make managerial decisions
- gain a macro and global perspective of the interconnections of economies and business
- gain tailored skills on leading change (e.g., in teams, in organizations, etc.).
Managers today need multidimensional skills in finance, market analysis, project management and global economics. Utilizing case studies, research projects, and reports, students develop the knowledge and competencies needed to excel in a highly competitive marketplace. Our curriculum combines competencies in leadership and ethics, enabling students to thrive in today’s job market.
All of the courses in our program employ pedagogy that emphasizes application. Additionally, students will select leadership electives that are relevant to their leadership situations and processes such as teamwork, organizational change, and innovation. Students can focus on the specific areas of management and operations that are relevant to their careers.
Students may begin the Master of Science in Management program in either the fall, spring, or summer terms. Students enrolled full time complete their degree work in one year. Students may also enroll part time and complete the Master of Science in Management at their own pace.
No prerequisite courses are necessary to enter the Master of Science in Management program. However, we strongly recommend that students without a math background take a statistics and/or math course before starting the program.
The Master of Science in Management offers a limited number of
graduate assistantships which link graduate study with earning and work experience.
