International Student Support

International Orientation Leadership Positions

The international orientation program supports international students in their transition and integration into the United States and Merrimack College. Three unpaid voluntary leadership positions through the international assistant program are available to help arriving students acclimate to their new home.

Under the international assistant program, new international students (first-year and transfer students) are paired with international orientation leaders, who are Merrimack sophomores, juniors and seniors. The leaders and international students connect formally or informally at least once a month with the aim of increasing cultural awareness and appreciation.
