Dublin, Ireland

Dublin is a historical and contemporary cultural center for Ireland, as well as a modern center of education, the arts, administration, economy, and industry. Through MyEducation and a very active Student Union at Griffith College, you are encouraged to explore beyond the classroom in order to meet and interact with Dubliners, Irish students and other international students. You can participate in activities, discussion groups, and cultural events. The Student Union sponsors many events and excursions in Dublin and around Ireland.

CAPA International Education

Merrimack students study abroad in Dublin through CAPA, a study abroad provider which organizes the program, provides full on-site support, arranges housing, orientation, excursions and more. Students studying abroad in Dublin will take their courses at Griffith College.

Griffith College

You will study in the heart of Dublin at Griffith College, a small, private Irish institution that includes a library, radio station, fitness room, student common room, campus food hall, and computer labs. Dublin center is a short 20-25 minute walk or short bus ride away from Griffith College.

Academics

Students studying during the fall and spring semester will study with local Dubliners, and other international students from other U.S colleges and universities. Students generally enroll in five or six courses while studying in Dublin.

  • All courses are 3 credits each, with the exception of Creative Writing which is 6 credits.
  • 3-6 credit internship opportunities! *must be at least a second semester sophomore.

Housing

CAPA arranges housing on the behalf of Merrimack students. During the semester students reside in a shared flat on the Griffith College campus. You will likely share a bedroom with another student, and there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms in each flat.
