Career Paths
The study of history provides students with the opportunity to gain critical and reflective thinking abilities, communication skills, and an understanding of the rich diversity of human cultures that will be valuable to personal and professional development.
Most history majors will not go on to be historians, but instead will use their skills in fields such as education, law, and business. The History Department recommends the following internet resources to help potential history majors explore possible career options.
