Advising International Students

Merrimack values each of our international students and the unique qualities that you bring to the college.

Our community is committed to scholarship and service to others, and provides you  with a variety of opportunities to develop intellectually, spiritually, socially and ethically.

Before you ever set foot on campus, you may hear about Merrimack’s close-knit, friendly community. We believe that cultivating connections, strengthening bonds and forging new relationships are vital to personal growth and intellectual development.

Support Programs

International Student Support helps you acclimate to life at Merrimack. We’ll help you maintain your lawful visa status, understand your rights in the United States and access the benefits permitted by your student visa.

In addition, we are here to support your overall experience at the college. International Student Support, in cooperation with the academic counselor for international students, offers customized programs to assist your academic, professional, social, personal and cultural integration into the college and the United States.

Academic Counselor

The role of your academic counselor is to answer your academic questions, provide you with referrals and help advocate for you so you  can succeed academically. You are assigned a primary adviser in your major.
