Graduate Programs

The School of Liberal Arts offers two master’s degree programs through the college’s Office of Graduate Studies. Following is a brief description of each program along with links for more information.

M.S., Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Prepares candidates to meet the growing demand for mental health counselors who work in a variety of settings, including counseling centers, hospitals, nonprofits and private practices. Learn more.

Degree Requirements
  • 60 credit hours of classroom-based learning.
  • A 700-hour fieldwork placement, including 100 practicum hours and 600 internship hours.

Master of Public Affairs

An innovative and interdisciplinary program that prepares students for dynamic and interesting careers as leaders in the world of public affairs and public policy. Learn more.

Degree Requirements
  • 32 credit hours comprising four core and four elective courses.
  • Degree can be completed in one year full-time and in two years part-time.
