Professor Clarisse A. Poirer is a Merrimack graduate, and she holds a master's degree and a doctorate from the American and New England Studies Program at Boston University. Her research focuses on industrialization in New England, and she also works as a preservation planning consultant. She teaches a number of courses in Modern American history, including Social History, Architectural History, and the History of the American City.
