  • John “Sean”

    Condon

    Interim Dean of Liberal Arts

Dr. John “Sean” Condon is the Interim Dean of Liberal Arts.  Dr. Condon has been teaching courses in history at Merrimack since 2005.  He holds a M.A. and a Ph.D. in History from the University of Minnesota, and a B.A. in History from Loyola University Maryland.  His primary field of research is Revolutionary America, and his most recent publication is Shays’s Rebellion: Authority and Distress in Post-Revolutionary America, published by Johns Hopkins University Press in 2015.  Before becoming Interim Dean, Dr. Condon served as the Chair of the History Department and Director of the International Studies Program.  As Interim Dean, he hopes to build even stronger connections between and among Liberal Arts departments, and to help students appreciate the value of a Liberal Arts education, whatever their career plans might be.
