Scholarship Information
Dr. Donald A. Kearns Memorial Award
A cash award of $500 given annually to a junior math major who is a person of good character, high integrity, demonstrates leadership qualities, and has a good sense of applied study. This award is named in memory of Dr. Kearns who established the Mathematics Department and the math major in 1959, served as the first chairman of the department, and shared his many talents with this academic community during the 39 years that he taught at the college. Dr. Kearns’ family established this award in his memory after his death in 2006. Applications will be available in March of each year at the Math Department office.
E. Frederick Fossa Memorial Scholarship
A partial scholarship is awarded to a deserving student who has shown academic and leadership abilities. Preference is given to a math major who is a resident of Beverly, Mass.
Helen A. Ready Scholarship I
A partial scholarship is preferentially awarded to a student who is majoring in mathematics or modern languages.
