Career Paths

Graduating students in the Department of Chemistry are prepared to enter the many areas of the chemical or biochemical industry, or pursue advanced studies in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental science, forensic science, medicine or dentistry.

There is no division in gender for our graduates (47% female 53% male). About 50% pursue further education in graduate school (nearly 100% acceptance). Others find chemistry-related positions in companies and with government agencies, and a few pursue high-school teaching careers. Over the last seven years we have 100% employment within one year.
