Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering

The civil engineering department at Merrimack College is dedicated to educating tomorrow’s engineering leaders.

What Is Civil Engineering?

Civil engineers plan, design and supervise construction of many essential facilities and structures such as bridges, dams, interstate highways and buildings. Exceptional civil engineers are highly competent problem solvers, who thirst for knowledge, communicate effectively and seek to make the world a better place.

Three Reasons to Study Civil Engineering at Merrimack

  • Classes are small with faculty-led laboratories and lectures.
  • Our strong co-op program allows you to gain real-world experience through employment in a professional setting.
  • The required senior capstone design course sharpens your skills in project-planning, communication and team-client relationships.

Our Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.
