Major and Minor Requirements

Required Courses

 All computer science majors take the following courses:

CSC 1520 General Computer Science
CSC 1610 Problem Solving with C++
CSC 2710 Analysis of Algorithms I
CSC 2820 Data Structures
CSC 3320 Operating Systems
MTH 1217 Calculus I
MTH 1314 Discrete Mathematics

Students majoring in Computer Science select from five possible concentrations

Minor Requirements

Satisfying the requirements for the minor in computer science includes completing a minimum of 22 credits.

  • MTH 1314 Discrete Mathematics
  • CSC 1610 Problem Solving with C++
  • Four other courses numbered higher than CSC 2004.
