Frank Schiavone

Frank Schiavone

Class of 2011
Electrical Engineering Major and Computer Science and Computer Engineering Minors

Frank Schiavone plans to graduate from Merrimack College in 2011 with a major in electrical engineering and a minor in both computer science and computer engineering. He came to Merrimack after graduating Medford High School in Medford, Massachusetts.

He chose Merrimack College because likes the small class sizes and the balance of professors from both industry and academics; and the location because it is close to home. Frank picked Electrical Engineering because he likes hands on and building things. He is also good at math, computers, and electronics. His favorite courses so far are Embedded Processor Design, Verilog, and Java (Programming). His education has already helped him with his summer job and internships. He has already worked for the Department of Transportation in Cambridge, Massachusetts where he worked along software developers building a web server and Ratheon, testing and debugging circuit boards.  Upon graduation, he hopes to find a job where he will be able to use his new design skills. In addition to his studies, he is also an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. He is also active in the Merrimack College Chapter of the IEEE.
