Vance Poteat

Vance Poteat is an Associate Professor in both the Computer Science and Electrical Engineering Departments. He worked for over 20 years at Bell Telephone Laboratories as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff and Technical Manager. During that time designed and managed products that range from analog and digital corded, cordless, and video telephones, to digital cable television set top boxes, Sonet / SDH multiplexers, and circuit switches.  He did his undergraduate work at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and his graduate work at Rutgers University.
