Compass
Today, many students need additional support to have a successful college experience and persist to graduation. With this in mind, Compass was created to support students in their freshman year, and direct them for long-term success through graduation and beyond.
Students in the Compass program participate in small classes that help develop needed research and analytical skills, strengthen math and writing proficiencies, and fulfill both major and general education requirements.
And while academics play a central role in Compass, we’ve also developed wrap-around services to help support students through their freshman year. These services include one-on-one advising, intensive tutoring, and peer mentoring – all tailored to the student’s needs.
Compass is a one-year program, but the skills learned will carry students throughout their college careers.
