Transfer Application Process

Merrimack College welcomes transfer students in the spring and fall semesters.

For fall admission, transfer applicants will be reviewed on a rolling basis until August 19, 2012.

Transfer applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Candidates are notified as application files are completed.
Notification for fall term admission begins in mid-March.

Application Process
To apply as a transfer student, simply:

  • Apply
  • Submit
    • Official Transcript(s) from each College/University attended
    • Course Catalog/Course Descriptions from each College/University attended (in order to determine transfer credit)
    • A current Letter of Recommendation
    • Your college essay (A thoughtful statement which explains why you believe Merrimack College is a desirable choice for you now.)
    • College Official’s Form
    • AP/IB/CLEP - “Official” score reports (required in order to determine transfer credit). Merrimack College school code number is 3525
    • US Permanent Residents are required to submit a photocopy (both sides) of Alien Registration card
    • High School transcripts are required if less than one year (less than 30 semester hours of credit) of college coursework has been completed.

For international students, please also submit:

  • Completed certificate of Finances or Notarized Bank Statement which certifies amount of funds on deposit/available for education in the U.S. for one year of study.
  • Test of English proficiency for applicant for whom English is not his/her native language. TOEFL or IELTS official score report required.

Assistant Professor Sandra Raponi’s areas of specialization include political philosophy, philosophy of law, moral philosophy, and applied ethics. She is particularly interested in issues relating to global justice and international law.
