Blue Line Club, Merrimack Athletic Complex
Open to students and their families that are interested in athletics at the recreational, club, or varsity level. Join the staff and upper-class student-athletes for an informative session on goals, philosophies and policies.

First Generation Parent Session                                       
Murray Lounge, Sakowich Campus Center
A first generation college student is defined as neither of the student’s parents attaining a bachelor’s degree or higher.  This is true of approximately 40% of the Merrimack College student population.  Come learn about the support and mentoring available to first generation students at Merrimack and what parents can do to help their student succeed.

Learn about the values on which Merrimack College is founded.

11:45am-12:30pm     
Merrimack Experience: Opening Session
Multi-Purpose Room, Sakowich Campus Center
Orientation Coordinators will introduce the schedule. Fr. Ray Dlugos, O.S. A. Vice President for Mission and Student Affairs will welcome and introduce students and parents to the culture at Merrimack.

12:30pm-2:00pm      
The Enlightened, Engaged & Empowered Parent                     
Multi Purpose Room, Sakowich Campus Center
Ever wonder, “How often should I text my son/daughter?” The Campus Life staff will talk with you about how to stay close to your students in college while letting them go. Learn what some of the transitions to college life will be for you and your student.

Parents will have the opportunity to talk to the Deans and have all questions answered.

3:30pm-4:00pm        
Opportunity is Knocking Panel                                               
Rogers Center for the Arts
Families will get the opportunity to live the college experience and learn about the activities and leadership positions available on campus.

4:00pm-4:30pm        
Merrimack Resources                                      
Rogers Center for the Arts
A variety of campus offices such as Residence Life, Student Involvement, Sodexo Dining, Hamel Health& Counseling, Campus Ministry, O’Brien Center for Career Services, Academic Enrichment, Information Technology, the Bookstore, Police Services, McQuade Library, Financial Aid/Bursars Office, Merrimack Post Office, Optional Laptop Purchase Program, TMS Payment Plans, Club Sports, Jumpstart & International Programs will be available.

4:30pm-5:00pm        
O’Brien Center for Student Success                                                 Rogers Center for the Arts
Representatives from the O’Brien Center for Student Success will be available to answer any questions about helping students with their internship, co-op, and career search

5:00pm-5:30pm        
Financial Aid Presentation                                              
Rogers Center for the Arts
David Martinez of the Bursar’s Office and Adrienne Montgomery, Director of Financial Aid will present tips on management of your student’s financial affairs, including college loan options as well as other important information.

5:30pm-6:30pm        
President’s Reception                                                                
DiCroce Family Lobby, Merrimack Athletic Complex
Please join President Christopher E. Hopey and other members of our faculty and staff for some light refreshments as we close out the Family Orientation Program.
