Is Fall Orientation mandatory?
Yes, Orientation in fall is mandatory. You will be advised and register for classes during orientation so it’s super important you are there. It’s also a great time to meet future classmates! If there are any questions, concerns, or problems, the Campus Life office will be available to help you in any way possible, please call 978-837-5175.  

How do I register for Orientation?
That’s an easy one! Register for June Orientation online. Choose which session you are coming to and let us know if any family members will be joining us. If you have any questions or changes to you registration, call 978-837-5175.

Will you assign me a roommate for June orientation?
When you arrive on campus, you will be assigned a room and a fellow classmate to reside with for the overnight session; however this is not your roommate for the fall semester. During June orientation, there will be a session offered by Residence Life on housing and roommates for the fall.

What do I bring to orientation?                
When you come to June orientation, you will be staying in a residence hall room overnight. You should plan to bring your own:  pillow, bedding and/or sleeping bag, a towel and toiletries.

What kind of programs will be offered during orientation?
Orientation is jam-packed with many different programs designed for you! There will be programs offered on the academic requirements, campus life resources, you will have an individual advising session, learn what it means to be a Merrimack Warrior and have some social time with the other members of the Class of 2018!

Are all of the programs mandatory?
Yes, all of the programs at orientation are mandatory. Remember, these programs have been designed for you and you will learn a lot while having fun, so don’t think of mandatory negatively!
