Summer Student Orientation Schedule



June Student Schedule 2014

Day 1 - June 23 or June 25

10:00am -11:45am    
St. Clare Court
Students complete the check-in process, get their room keys, and get settled prior to the start of the programs.

Math Placement Exam                             
McQuade Library Computer Labs               
Students who have not completed their math placement exam will do so during this time.

Austin Hall
Students and families are welcome to join the Merrimack College community in a morning Mass.

Sparky’s Place, Sakowich Campus Center
Brunch available at Sparky’s Place.

Merrimack Experience: Opening Session                      
Multi Purpose Room, Sakowich Campus Center                                          
Orientation Coordinators will introduce the day’s schedule with students and families. Fr. Ray Dlugos, O.S.A. Vice President of Mission and Student Affairs will welcome and introduce students and parents to the culture at Merrimack.

Group Time                          
Students will be placed in groups with some of their fellow classmates and two upper-class Orientation Leaders to introduce themselves and prepare them for the days ahead!

What It Means To Be a Warrior                                                             
Merrimack Athletic Complex
Students will learn what it means to be a Merrimack College Warrior!

Improv Asylum                                                                            
Rogers Center for the Arts
You will enjoy one of Boston’s funniest acts, the Improv Asylum. The comedians of this Boston based comedy hot spot will make you the stars of their show!

Night-time Activities                                                                       
St. Clare Court
Take some time to relax and hang out with your fellow classmates at St. Clare Court. Listen to music and eat fried dough, ice cream, and pretzels while taking part in various fun activities, including trivia. There’s more to do than you can imagine!

Day 2 - June 24 or June 26

Closing Session                                           
Rogers Center for the Arts
An electrifying closing session to end Orientation and create excitement for our Fall program! Make sure to come to this session to hear alumni talk about their experience as well as the opportunity to win some fantastic Merrimack prizes in our raffle.

Laptop Distribution                                                                   
Augie’s Pub, Sakowich Campus Center

New students will meet members of the faculty from their area of academic discipline to review the registration packets that they will receive at check-in. Students will also have an opportunity to change their schedule with the assistance of an advisor. There will also be other programs students will attend with their groups during this time period:
