TKE in a Box

TKE in Box in the biggest philanthropic event that Tau Kappa Epsilon at Merrimack College organizes. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness for homelessness, especially during the coming months due to the cold weather.

A box made of scaffolding, wooden pallets, and tarps is made and for the whole week each brother sleeps, eats, and resides around the box.  There will always be at least one to two Tekes at the box 24/7.

The donated money will go to two organizations, one half will go to the Bread and Roses Foundation which is located in Lawrence, MA and is dedicated to helping homelessness; and the other half will be donated to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which is the main philanthropic organization that TKE works with and supports. Please help and support this event with any donation no matter how small, every cent can make a difference.

With each 100 donated two members will spend additional nights in the box. Any person who donates over $200 will be contacted and given a gift from the chapter.
