Options abound to make the most of your time at Merrimack.  As you’ll quickly learn, everything here happens as a result of students’ dedication to making the most of their experience.

Participating in Merrimack’s student organizations is a great way to stretch your skills, develop new interests and forge lasting friendships. With more than 65 student-led clubs and organizations on campus, there’s something for everyone.

Whether you’re into performing arts, intramural sports, or giving back to the community, at Merimack you’ll find plenty of opportunities to get involved.

Student-led groups include:

435 students participate in Merrimack’s varsity sports programs each year- from soccer to softball, field hockey to lacrosse.

Looking for something fun to do?

At Merrimack, you don’t have to look far. From comedians and movie nights to concerts and plays, every weekend you’ll find a number of school-sponsored events. Some of Merrimack’s most popular annual events include Winter Carnival, Spring Weekend and Cram Jam.

On-campus activities include:

Keeping fit and having fun

You can also get involved in competitive sports, fitness activities and recreation through Merrimack’s extremely popular intramurals and recreation program. Choose from 15 different leagues and a growing number of club sports, including male and female rugby and lacrosse. Dodge ball, kickball and ping pong tournaments- along with hiking trips, whitewater rafting, skiing and canoeing- provide activities for everyone.

    All Day: Crossing Borders: Spain and Morocco
    Travel to Spain and Morocco!  The course is open to all Merrimack College students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of the College.  Course offered in English; no Spanish required.  Course satisfies a humanities, WLC or JCM minor requirement.  For more information on the program, visit:

  • Coffeehouse vibe in a residential setting- the Monican lobby turns into a gathering space around the fireplace where students share their musical talents.

  • Augie’s Pub is conveniently located on-campus. Events held cater to both 21+ and all ages.

  • Dodgeball,  basketball, indoor soccer, ice hockey, wiffleball, volleyball & softball are just a few of the 79 intramural teams offered to women & men at Merrimack.
