Student Employment
Please refer to the Student Employment Programs page for further information regarding Federal Work-Study, College Employment and Paid Community Service.
Here is how you begin your on-campus job search:
- Log in to myMack to start your job search. From the Student Info tab, go to the Financial Aid portlet and scroll down to Student Employment Programs.
- Click on the jobs that have openings to review the postings for any department which you may be interested. Hiring will begin as soon as school begins. Each department will indicate how you may contact them, i.e. by telephone, by e-mail or drop in to their office.
- Once hired, go to myMack to download the necessary employment forms. Complete the I-9 and W-4. Go to the Office of Financial Aid (1st floor Austin Hall, Room 15b, next to the Registrar) where you will be given a Payroll Authorization form. This form will determine your eligibility to work and must be signed by Penny King, Director of Student Employment.
- Take the Payroll Authorization form to the department that is hiring you for their signature. Then take all 3 forms (Payroll Authorization, I-9 and W-4) to the Payroll Office (2nd floor of Austin Hall) along with a copy of your social security card and Merrimack College ID. Your information will be entered into the payroll system and once you begin working, you'll pick up your paycheck in the Payroll Office every two weeks.
