Getting Involved

It is easy to get involved at Merrimack College. We are a small, close-knit community of people who enjoy being active and engaged. In the same way that Merrimack’s experiential learning opportunities get you involved with the actual working world, our student clubs and activities provide opportunities for deeper involvement in other realms of your life.

Merrimack has more than 40 student organizations, including subject-specific academic clubs, social/cultural clubs, music and theater groups, fraternities and sororities, student government councils, groups focused on social justice and community service, and more.

The Office of Student Activities / Campus Center has developed and maintained this wide range of student organizations to enhance student life and to complement the College’s academic curriculum. By encouraging and assisting student-run groups to govern themselves and create their own events, we foster leadership and the development of skills such as communication, budgeting, group process, and program planning.

Participation in Merrimack’s student organizations can strengthen your resume and enrich your professional life in the future—and, of equal importance, can make your personal day-to-day life more rewarding, interesting, and fun. Come and explore what we have to offer!
