Programs & Activities
Our office offers a great variety of events for all students. Some of our highlights include:
Student Involvement Fair
The Involvement Fair takes place during the first week of classes. This is a great chance to learn about all of our clubs and find out which ones interest you!
Homecoming/Family Weekend
We work with the Alumni Relations department and the Athletics department every year to provide this weekend-long extravaganza. From alumni events to athletic events to family-oriented events, this is a great weekend to connect with friends from the past as well as your families!
Halloween at the Mack
Hosted in the Sakowich Campus Center the week of Halloween, our clubs gather to make some memorable Halloween fun! With games, food, and prizes, Halloween at the Mack is a great way to celebrate Halloween!
Cram Jam
During finals week, our office hosts a nighttime breakfast event to help you de-stress from final exams. We have competitive games, novelty items, prizes, inflatable rides, and music. Best of all, the breakfast is served to you by our faculty and staff. This event is a great way to relax during those stressful times of finals.
Welcome Week Events
We understand that getting back into the swing of school can be difficult. So we help you out with Welcome Week Events. During the first week of the Fall and Spring semesters, you can count on having events each night. Events include game shows, comedians, musicians, novelty giveaways, recreational trips, and much more!
Merrimack Survivor
Merrimack Survivor is hosted in the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR) of the Sakowich Campus Center for an entire weekend. Beginning on a Friday at 5:00pm until that Sunday at noon, participants are confined to the MPR. From there, a variety of team challenges occur to bring our three teams down to individual competition, and then immunity challenges bring us to our final two survivors. Throughout the competition, there are tribal council meetings and taped confessionals during the voting process. In the end, the jury will decide who the Merrimack Survivor is. Who knows, it could be you…
Leadership Institute
Each spring, the Office of Student Involvement hosts a six week leadership program. Between 20 and 25 students participate each semester and develop the skills necessary to be great leaders.
Women’s Seminar
An all-woman committee comprised of both faculty and staff members plan this yearly event to recognize women student leadesr on our campus. Over 100 women were recognized at this year’s Women’s Seminar, a great testament to the women of Merrimack College.
We offer various events each year. Our clubs hosted over 125 events during the Fall 2009 semester. No matter what your interests are, there’s always something to get involved in!
