5:00pm - 7:00pm EDT March 25, 2015
After more than two decades of serving as a bridge to higher education for hundreds of students from Lawrence, the Accept the Challenge program is about to graduate its final students from Merrimack College this upcoming May. Please join us for a dialogue/discussion panel with some of the final participants in this pioneering program as we seek to reflect and better understand the program, its impact, and the consequences of its demise. Students Katherine Almonte, Maria Pichardo, Jossie Polanco, Genesis Quezada, and Anderson Sanchez will speak about their own experiences in the program. Steph McNally, who is conducting a Social Justice Capstone project centered on the program, will be presenting a history of the program and will moderate the conversation. We hope that some of the program’s graduates will guest star, too.
Come join us in honoring the program as it deserves!
