Hunger Banquet and “Afro-D”
5:00pm - 7:30pm EDT March 6, 2012 EST
Merrimack students are encouraged to participate in this Oxfam America Hunger Program which provides education about poverty and what it means to be hungry. The students will take interactive roles that will demonstrate the inequitable distribution of food.
A performance by Afro-D, a talented Egyptian rapper whose music focuses on social justice will help transition this event into a memorable, powerful and hopefully “life-changing experience.” This program is sponsored by Campus Ministry, Jewish-Christian-Muslim Relations, Office of Experiential Learning and Student Involvement.
