72nd Eastern New England Biology Conference

April 26 EDT

The Department of Biology will be hosting the annual Eastern New England Biology Conference on Saturday, April 26, 2014.  Between 100 and 200 students and faculty from the Boston area will attend.

The ENEBC is a consortium of colleges coming together to spur new ideas and connections in Academic Biology. The ENEBC has been held at dozens of different sites over the past seven decades and the consortium now consists of more than 50 member schools. Presentations for this conference are exclusive to undergraduate researchers.

We are thrilled to announce that the global pharmaceutical company Pfizer will participate as special guests at this years Eastern New England Biology Conference. Pfizer Senior Director of Pharmaceutics Dr. Nicholas Warne, will deliver the Keynote address. Further, a panel of distinguished Pfizer scientists will deliver the Pfizer Student Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical Forum to cap off the conference in the afternoon.

Conference Logistics

7:45-8:45 AM Sakowich Center: Registration, Poster Set-up, and Continental Breakfast

9:00-9:15 AM Cascia Hall: Welcome and Introductions

9:15-10 AM Cascia Hall: Keynote Address by Dr. Nicholas Warne: Biotechnology in Massachusetts: Our History and Future

10:15-12 Noon O’Reilly Hall: Student Presentations

Noon-1:30 PM Sakowich Center: Box Lunch and Poster Session

1:30-3:00 PM Cascia Hall and Sakowich Center: Pfizer Student Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical Forum

1:30-3:00 PM Sakowich Center:The ENEBC Business Meeting and Faculty Mixer will take place for the Faculty attending the Conference from 1:30 to 3 PM (while the Pfizer Student Forum is taking place).
