Understanding Autism: Jim Ball, Ed.D.

“Understanding Autism” is valuable to teachers, parents, school administrators, and those interested in better understanding this complex diagnosis. This event is free and open to the public. Click here to register.

Dr. Ball will cover the basics of what autism is, how it is diagnosed, current issues, and evidence-based practices in the community and classroom. He will discuss how to develop reinforcement systems that enhance motivation. Dr. Ball will also explain concepts of maintenance and generalization and present a step-by-step demonstration using real-life examples.

About Jim Ball

Jim Ball, Ed.D., is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. He has worked for more than 25 years in the private sector field of autism. Dr. Ball is the Executive Chair of the National Board of Directors for The Autism Society, and President/CEO of JB Autism Consulting. His triple award-winning book, “Early Intervention & Autism: Real-Life Questions, Real-Life Answers” was released February 2008.
