New England Ringers Holiday Concert

Join New England’s premier community handbell ensemble as it lauches the 2012 holiday season with an ecumenical and multicultural celebration of the holiday spirit. In its 12th year and directed by Edward G Henderson, Jr, New England Ringers perfomers some of the most interesting and challenging handbell music in the repertoire on six octaves of Schulmerich handbells and seven octaves of Malmark handchimes, often accompanied by additional instruments. The performance will showcase the ringers’ ability to perform a varied repertoire with energy, experience, discipline and skill to achieve their signature artistry with the handbell instrument, and will feature innovative arrangements of familiar carols, classical transcriptions, and original holiday selections. With its commitment to musical excellence, focus on eclectic programming to appeal to a variety of musical tastes, and a healthy dash of showmanship, NER has been entertaining audiences of all ages since 2000 throughout all six New England states, New York, and Pennsylvania.
